Description
ICE WING is an extraordinary rock crystal specimen with chlorite and fine rutile from the Himalayas. The elongated, exceptionally clear main crystal impresses with its elegant proportions, pronounced termination, and distinctive mineral associations.
The clear to transparent quartz displays remarkable brilliance, with reflections and subtle refractions appearing across the crystal faces as the viewing angle changes. Greenish chlorite adds contrasting mineral accents while preserving the clean, crystalline appearance of the main crystal.
On the reverse, delicate traces of rutile provide an additional layer of detail. Their subtle presence adds mineralogical complexity and depth without dominating the exceptional clarity and overall appearance of the quartz.
Particularly striking is the specimen’s unusual architecture. A laterally projecting companion crystal creates an almost wing-like silhouette, giving ICE WING its name and making the formation especially compelling from different perspectives.
Weighing 328 g and measuring approximately 128 mm in height, ICE WING combines elegant proportions with an impressive presence.
Its exceptional clarity, greenish chlorite, subtle rutile, and distinctive wing-like crystal architecture make ICE WING a unique Himalayan quartz specimen for a sophisticated mineral collection.
