Description
RED VEINS is an extraordinary rock crystal specimen with rutile and chlorite from the Himalayas. Particularly striking is the dense network of fine rutile inclusions running through the quartz in copper-red, bronze, and golden-brown tones.
The delicate rutile needles create remarkable visual depth and reveal intense warm reflections as the viewing angle and light change. Their intricate, vein-like pattern gives RED VEINS its name and makes the internal structure of the crystal especially fascinating.
Greenish chlorite provides a striking cooler contrast to the warm metallic tones of the rutile. The interplay of clear quartz, reddish-golden rutile, and green chlorite creates a complex mineral composition with exceptional character.
A pronounced crystal termination completes the formation, while the transparency of the quartz allows numerous rutile needles, growth zones, and internal structures to be observed from different perspectives.
Weighing just 28 g and measuring approximately 55 mm in height, RED VEINS is a compact yet exceptionally detailed collector’s specimen with remarkable visual complexity for its size.
The combination of clear Himalayan rock crystal, densely developed copper-red to golden rutile, greenish chlorite, and its intricate internal structure makes RED VEINS a unique and highly distinctive specimen.
