Description
COPPER GHOST is an extraordinary rock crystal specimen with rutile and chlorite from the Himalayas. The clear to subtly smoky quartz combines warm copper- to gold-colored rutile inclusions with contrasting greenish chlorite, creating a striking interplay of color and transparency.
Particularly fascinating are the fine rutile needles within the quartz. Depending on the viewing angle and light, they reveal intense golden-brown, bronze, and copper-colored reflections. Greenish chlorite provides a cooler contrast and adds further depth and mineralogical complexity to the crystal.
The pronounced termination and clearly visible internal structures give COPPER GHOST its distinctive character. The transparency of the quartz allows the rutile, chlorite, and individual growth zones to appear almost suspended within the crystal, creating a remarkable sense of depth and an almost phantom-like effect.
As the specimen is viewed from different perspectives, shifting reflections and refractions continuously reveal new inclusions, structures, and mineral details.
Weighing 41 g and measuring approximately 50 mm in height, COPPER GHOST is a compact yet exceptionally characterful collector’s specimen.
The combination of clear to subtly smoky Himalayan quartz, copper-toned rutile, greenish chlorite, and its complex internal structure makes COPPER GHOST a unique and highly distinctive specimen.
