Description
ICE WINDOW is an exceptionally clear phantom quartz specimen with chlorite from the Himalayas. The dominant main crystal impresses with its remarkable transparency, sharply defined crystal faces, and elegant upright architecture.
Particularly fascinating are the clearly visible phantom and growth structures within the quartz. These internal zones record different stages of the crystal’s formation and create an extraordinary sense of depth. Thanks to the exceptional clarity of the main crystal, these structures can be observed particularly well, giving the impression of looking through a window into the crystal’s growth history.
As the viewing angle and light change, reflections, refractions, and delicate rainbow effects appear within the quartz. Different internal structures become more or less pronounced from each perspective, making ICE WINDOW a remarkably dynamic specimen.
In the lower section and along the matrix, greenish chlorite creates a striking contrast with the nearly colorless rock crystal. A well-defined companion crystal adds another dimension to the formation and enhances its complex, sculptural architecture.
Weighing 442 g and measuring approximately 130 mm in height, ICE WINDOW has an impressive presence. Its exceptional transparency, clearly visible phantom structures, greenish chlorite, and distinctive crystal architecture make it an outstanding Himalayan quartz specimen for a sophisticated mineral collection.
